Aesthetic Reflection was a one week course on the interaction between projected light and form. Can it help explain form or functionality? Does it hold potential with respect to designing for interaction? First form abstractions of everyday objects were drawn and made into small wooden models. In a group of five we then experimented with projected light on the models. Finally a “lighting scenario” was designed (see video below).

The scenario uses cast shadows in an interplay with projected light to indicate movement of the interactions and hint toward functionality. Objects shown in the movie are a socket, razor, a Philishave, a hair straightener and a remote control.
