citizenM digital branding & hotel experience

 

Digital transformation of citizenM hotels, consisting of: 1) New branding and imagery that captures the lively, colourful vibe of the hotel interiors. 2) Digital concept and design for the complete hotel journey; from telling the brand story, to booking stays, checking in, opening doors, controlling smart rooms, ordering food, and going on curated city tours. The project covered the website, mobile app, in-room tablet app and check in kiosk.


Winner International CX Award, Reddot Design Award, 2 Dutch Creativity Awards, 6 w3 Awards, Skift IDEA Award and 2 Dutch Interactive Awards.

 
 

 

Ajax Fan app

 

Proposition, concept & user interface design for Ajax’s mobile fan app. My team and I proposed a first launchable version including ticketing, content highlights, polls and loyalty. Through a series of strategic workshops we then helped Ajax formulate a vision and roadmap for the years to come. This included new revenue models and new ways for fans to experience the club at a distance.

 
 

 

Videoland by RTL

 

Web- and app design for Holland’s Netflix competitor. Complete focus on cincematic imagery celebrates Videoland’s huge content offering. Nonchalant gesture-based browsing suits a lean-back experience. The platform is gaining ground fast and is doing well in the market. Done together with my Triple buddies Jochem Lubbers and Eef Fürst.

 
 

 

My Vodafone

 

A digital partnership in which my Triple buddies and I crafted Vodafone’s mobile strategy and design. A bold and playful visual language helped Vodafone stand out in a then grey landscape of competitors. A service-minded design philosophy acted as a catalyst for more customer centric thinking within the organisation. 

Adding chatbot functionality in 2015, before the big chatbot hype, helped make self-service easier for users. Conversion on in-app plan upgrades increased threefold and strain on callcenters was reduced.

 
 

 

Triple company rebranding

 

Complete rebranding of digital agency Triple. A vibrant and dynamic visual universe that does justice to the innovative spirit and creative playfulness that defines the company. Separate “micro-sites” for each of the services that clients come to Triple for (eg accelerating innovation) help speak more directly to the market. They also offer a scaffold to structure the organisation.

 
 

 

LINDA.nl

 

Concept and user interface design for LINDA magazine’s first plunge into digital. A new video proposition (LINDA.tv) was launched first as a pilot, followed by the design and launch of LINDA.nl as a fully-fledged content platform. Done together with Studio Room.

Marktplaats chatbot Proof of Concept

 

Several weeks of design workshops and prototyping to help Holland’s largest second-hand marketplace transition from being a passive platform, to proactively helping people buy and sell. Together we translated ambitions and brand values into UI proposals and validated assumptions through user testing.

Weaving together Marktplaats’ existing interface with new chat UI we proposed a buying and selling experience that’s helpful, reassuring and fun. The project helped lay the foundations for the company’s digital strategy for the coming years.
